💡14:40 Simulating complex network topologies with Containerlab
Containerlab applies the container-based approach of deploying distributed applications to networking, simulating instances of network devices like routers, switches, and firewalls in arbitrary topologies. In this session, participants learn about Containerlab, explore a demo setup, and gain insights into troubleshooting.

🗣️SPEAKER: Vincentz Petzholtz
Vincentz held key roles as a Network Engineer and Architect since 2006. His technical expertise spans various areas, including BGP routing and policies, network security, DDoS mitigation, and the design and architecture of backbone and data center networks. He became Head of Network at SysEleven in 2017. Since 2020 he contributes to the Berlin Internet community and serves on the advisory board of the Berlin Internet Exchange (BCIX). Currently, Vincentz works at Arista Networks as a Solution Engineer/Architect, continuing to shape the future of network design and infrastructure.

💡15:10 NixOS: A Brief Introduction
NixOS, an ecosystem for creating deterministic, reproducible software environments, can be used for image software deployment with special needs. Attendees will learn how Nix’s declarative package manager fits into DevOps and CI/CD.

🗣️SPEAKER: Arik Grahl
Arik Grahl is a Berlin-based DevOps engineer with more than 10 years of experience in full-stack development and operation of infrastructure on bare metal. Currently he develops Golang applications, which are close to Kubernetes and other technologies from the cloud native environment. He is actively using Nix, the purely functional package manager and enjoys contributing to the Nix ecosystem.

Ferenc will cover a concise history of the different chatbot solutions and their huge evolution in recent years, also covering ChatGPT and Ollama. He will showcase the process of building their large language model with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).

🗣️SPEAKER: Ferenc Kukucska
Ferenc has been working in the Big data and AI squad at DT-ITS for 4 and a half years now as an Architect, and has been in the AI industry since 2017. In these past 7 years, he worked on many interesting AI projects such as recommendation systems, intelligent search engines, chatbots, smart cameras. In the last couple of years he’s focusing more on DevOps projects built with technologies like Kubernetes, Helm and ArgoCD.

Zsolt has been working as an Architect at Open Telekom Cloud (OTC) for the past 8 years. During this time, he has primarily focused on supporting Datawarehouse and Big Data initiatives. More recently, he has also been involved in OTC AI services and DevOps activities at Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions.
